When presented to curator, Michelle Proksell, she pointed out the spelling mistake but also suggested they keep it because it visually represented a kind of Chinglish spelling mistake sometimes seen by native Chinese speakers, suggesting that it was a representation of Miao’s process of expressing herself and work through translation the limitations of translation.
